Liability for links
The decision on ‘Liability for links’ – 312 O 85/99 – rendered by the Hamburg Regional Court on September 12th, 1999 - says that the placing of a link may entail responsibility for the contents of the linked page. This can – according to the court – only be prevented by explicitly dissociating oneself from such contents. We wish to dissociate ourselves from the contents of linked pages or graphics and will not accept any responsibility for them. Should we discover any violation of laws, customs or morals on such pages, we will immediately delete the link, entry, graphic or similar.
